Money Transfers

Send money worldwide.
Fast, safe, and simple.

Are you looking for a fast, reliable, cheap and safe option for sending and receiving money? Look no further — Money Express has you covered.

How it works

Sending money takes three steps

  1. 01 Visit our location Stop by either counter — no appointment needed. All transfers are handled in person.
  2. 02 Choose a money transfer service We'll help you pick the right network for a domestic or international send — Ria or Western Union, depending on where the money's going and how your recipient wants to collect it.
  3. 03 Provide your information and send Bring ID — the threshold for a transfer is lower than for exchanging cash, so bring it whatever you're sending. You'll also need your recipient's correct name and address and/or their account number.
Send with a trusted network

Two global networks, one counter

As an authorized Ria Money Transfer agent, we can reach Ria's network of 600,000+ payout locations in over 190 countries. We'll help you pick the service that suits your recipient — where they are, and how they want to collect it.

Before you go

What you need to know

As a money services business we follow Canadian ID and recordkeeping rules on every transfer. These are what people actually ask at the counter — so there are no surprises when you arrive.

Exchanging cash instead?
Can I do this over the phone, or do I have to come in?

Everything happens in person at the counter — both exchanges and transfers. No appointment needed, just walk in. We can't take a send or a receive over the phone.

What do I need to bring to send money to family abroad?

Your recipient's correct name and address, and/or their account number for the service you're using — get these exactly right, because that's what the money follows. The sender needs to be 18 or older. Bring your ID. We'll go through the options with you and pick the network that suits where it's going.

What will the person receiving it need?

Their full legal name exactly as it appears on their government photo ID, plus the city and country they're collecting in — give it to us that way at the counter, because that name is what gets checked at the other end. A nickname or a dropped middle name is the usual reason a transfer sits waiting. For a cash pickup they bring that photo ID and the reference number you pass on to them; they need to be 18 or older, and only the person named on the transfer can collect it. Going to a bank account or a mobile wallet instead? We'll take those details from you when you send.

Do I need to bring ID?

Bring it. For a money transfer the threshold is lower than it is for exchanging cash, so it's worth having on you whatever you're sending. We accept a driver's licence, passport, permanent resident card, or provincial ID card. Honestly — bring it anyway. It's the one thing that turns a five-minute stop into a second trip.
